It's used commercially in toothpaste, mouthwashes and gargles. When burned or vaporised Cassia can be effective against colds, flu and fevers. It may also with feelings of low self-esteem. If misused Cassia can be a dermal irritant. However, use under the supervision of an aromatherapist may benefit those suffering from artheritis or rheumatism. Cassia should only be used in very small amounts when applied to the skin.
