Cedarwood Essential Oil is often known for its astringent properties which makes it useful in protecting your skin and in caring for blemished or oily skin.
It has been known to be used in blends designed to help combat cellulite when used as part of a dietary and fitness regime. It is also great in hair care as it can help to refresh and restore greasy hair and dandruff (you can enjoy the benefits in our Deep Cleansing Cedarwood & Peppermint Shampoo).
It has a wonderful, balsamic woody aroma and is commonly used for it's beautiful fragrance alone (its a fragrance loved by many but it may be a good choice for a more masculine blend) . It's recognised as a stress relieving oil; perfect for adding to a bath to help relieve stress and tension at the end of the day.

Traditionally used as an antiseptic, skin conditioner, deodorant, insect repellent and a soothing agent. Used by the native American people for female problems.

I have made my own perfume blend using cedar and sandalwood oils, mixed with coconut oil. I was experimenting with blending, it is my favourite!

I wasn't too keen on the smell at first as it wasn't what I was expecting but after mixing it with other oils, the smell is balanced out. I would highly recommend this :)

Purchased this essential oil from a shop called dragonfly on the isle of Wight. First thing to note is the very rich earthy smell with a lighter woody smell. Personally I don't find the aroma plesant on its own. Mixed with other armomas it's quite nice and gives a hint of a woody scent. Cedarwood essential oil is a expectorant which is a class of chemicals that aid in clearing mucus in your airways. About 3 drops in an oil burner helped my partner with blocked sinuses however I would recommend a larger quantity be used to aid in clearing the mucus. Overall I'm happy with the product and works as expected.

This scent is really woody and rich. I've been using it as a base note to create some perfumes. It seems to blend well with cinnamon and other woody scents. Last a long time too.
