My goal for the month was to be more conscious of what I eat as well as what I use on my skin and hopefully learn something new.

For a lot of people January is a month of new beginnings and changes.

Veganuary aka Vegan January has become increasingly popular over the last few years.

However, when it comes to veganism it affects not only what you eat but the products you use.

My goal for the month was to be more conscious of what I eat as well as what I use on my skin and hopefully learn something new.

Let us start with hair care, my suggestion would be trying a shampoo bar. Our shampoo bars are full of natural ingredients and long lasting, and most importantly the whole range is Vegan! Perfect for travel, festivals, the gym, or anyone on the go. One shampoo bar lasts twice as long compare to a 250ml bottle, also kind to the environment as they are plastic free.

For the past month I have been using the Botanical Boost Shampoo Bar, as my hair was dry due to dying and needed some TLC. This is my first time using the bar and find myself reaching for it every time I wash my hair. It is full, softer and my loose curls are more defined. While my hair is still wet, I rub few drops of pure Jojoba oil through my hair. It’s helped tame my frizz and defined my curls. The oil comes in a very handy 25ml bottle, that can be reused or refilled for further use.

When it comes to my skincare, I enjoy products with a minimum amount of ingredients. I found myself gravitating to another beauty oil, for my face. The Chia Seed Oil is a light and non-greasy oil. I would recommend using few drops every evening as I woke up with a nice glow to my skin.

I always have trouble with my nails, they snap easily. My next item of choice was the Nail and Cuticle Oil. Unfortunately, a lot of mainstream brands test their products on animals. I have been recommended a few brands to help me but researching the company further I would not go ahead with my purchase. I keep the oil in my bag and apply it at work. I also appreciate the packaging as the bottle and lid are recyclable. My last pick up from amphora was the Cedarwood and Peppermint Shower & Bath Gel, the smell is refreshing change from the usual floral citrus smells, particularly happy that it was SLS and Paraben free to.
