Petitgrain essential oil resembles Neroli and is a very useful aromatherapy oil in its own right. it is especially good for for oily skin and greasy hair.

It's believed to be helpful in balancing sebum reduction.It's also been used for refreshing oily hair (try putting 2 drops in the final rinse after shampooing greasy hair). Petitgrain aids relaxation and is a good stress-reliever with excellent uplifting properties. You may find it particularly useful for the 'Winter Blues' or S.A.D.

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
You may find that Petitgrain blends especially well with bergamot, lavender, palmarosa, geranium, rosewood and sandalwood.
Native to southern China and north-east India. Mainly produced in France, Paraguay and North Africa.
Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base lotion or cream and use in your skincare regime to help balance and restore oily skin. Add a few drops to your shampoo to help revitalise greasy hair. Add a few drops to a burner to help lift the mood.

Historically used in perfumery and skin care.
