Grapefruit Essential Oil has traditionally been used as an astringent skin conditioner. It makes a great addition to a massage blend if you're looking to detoxify and purify.

Its naturally energising and uplifting scent is ideal for helping you stay focused and alert, so it may be particularly helpful to those studying or when you have a large workload to get through.

Its a lovely, fresh and fruity oil that is pleasing to most and blends beautifully with other oils. It is also renowned for its 'feel good' properties and studies have shown it could potentially be a useful oil to diffuse during the winter to help with the seasonal adjustment.

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
You may find that Grapefruit blends particularly well with bergamot, lavender, geranium, palmarosa and frankincense.
Comes from Tropical Asia, the West Indies, USA, Israel & Cuba among others.
Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base lotion or cream for use on oily skin types. Add a few drops to your shampoo to help refresh and revive. Place 3-4 drops onto a flannel and place at the base of your shower. Allow the steam from the hot water to diffuse the energising scent for a little 'pick-me-up' in the morning. Enjoy a few drops diffused in a burner to help create a welcoming and comforting atmosphere in the home. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and enjoy its uplifting and detoxifying properties in a massage.

Grapefruit is a relatively modern fruit, the hybridized offspring that resulted from an affair between a pumelo and an orange tree.

Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
