Macadamia nut oil is thought to penetrate the skin better and more deeply than most other carrier oils and leaves no oily residue. This makes it a great base oil to use for massage blends with essential oils as it helps to infuse the positive properties of the essential oils into the skin.

It is especially beneficial for dry, mature and wrinkle-prone skin as it has high amounts of the same palmitoleic acid found in the sebum of humans. As skin gets older it produces less sebum making Macadamia Nut Oil perhaps the perfect oil for ageing skin. Works very well on its own but is even better when used as a carrier oil combined with pure essential oils.

Macadamia Nut Oil is perfect for use with any essential oil which is suitable for use on the skin. Macadamia trees are native to Madagascar and Australia, and grow from 50 to 60 feet high with long, narrow leaves and clusters of pink or white flowers. The round, hard-shelled nuts grow in clusters and are covered with husks that split when they are ripe.

I started to use this oil after I saw how damaged my skin had become since cancer treatment. My skin had become very dry & parched. I tried several well known bodylotions but felt greasy and it just sat ontop of the skin. After visiting the shop the kind lady working there went through all the oils & their properties. It appeared this was the oil my skin was crying out for. Within 5 days of using this oil my skin felt so much better, it was soft to the touch and felt amazing. I've been using it now for 3 years and wouldn't use anything else now. The joy that it sinks into your skin and leaves it hydrated is amazing. I love that I can use any essential oil if the mood takes me. Come sun or rain this will be my 'forever' product.
