Lemon Thyme essential oil is gentler oil than straight Thyme and so is more suitable for use on the skin (although you should still always dilute it in a carrier before application). It contains fewer irritants so there is less possibility of sensitisation. read more
When diluted in a carrier oil you can create a muscle and joint ease rub - especially useful before and after sport or any physical activity. It can be added to chest rubs to ease the symptoms of coughs and colds and can be burned or vaporised for the same reasons. It's an uplifting and relaxing oil which is also lovely when added to a hot bath. It's a good oil to use in the winter months especially. It's antiseptic properties make it useful against insect bites and stings and it can It may also be useful in balancing oily, acne prone skin.
